Product Description

During infrequent, high flow events (less than 10 percent of all storm events), peak stormwater flows over the diverting weir and continue into the downstream storm sewer system. This by-pass activity creates pressure equalization across the by-pass chamber, preventing scouring and resuspension of previously trapped pollutants. StormceptorŽ is the only device with an internal by-pass that prevents scouring of trapped pollutants.

The In-Line StormceptorŽ removes more than:

--80 percent of total suspended solids.

--95 percent of free oils and hydrocarbon spills.

The In-Line StormceptorŽ has been applied numerous times as an NPDES Phase I Best Management Practice, and is an ideal solution for communities dealing with the NPDES Phase II Regulations.

The In-Line unit is available in eight different unit sizes, ranging from 900 to 7200 gallon storage capacities. Each unit is constructed from precast concrete components and a patented fiberglass insert.

Product Technical Information

Single Inline Unit

[STC 900, 1200, 1800, 2400, 3600, 4800, 6000, 7200]

  • Frame and cover are orientated directly over riser pipe and oil port.
  • Useable as a bend structure.
  • Minimum direction change from inlet to outlet is 90 degrees
Inline Stormceptor High Flow

Multiple Inline Unit

  • Frame and cover should be orientated directly over riser pipe and oil port.
  • Accommodates up to two horizontal inlet pipes.
  • Useable as a bend structure.
  • Minimum direction change from either inlet to the outlet is 90 degrees.

The In-Line StormceptorŽ can be maintained from the surface, without entry into the unit. Perform maintenance once the stored volume reaches 15 percent of the StormceptorŽ capacity, or immediately in the event of a spill.

Maintenance intervals vary depending on the application. We recommend quarterly inspections during the first year of installation to accurately establish a maintenance schedule.

Remove oil and sediment through the 24 inch diameter outlet riser pipe. Or, remove floatables and hydrocarbons through the 6 inch oil inspection port.

Requirements for the disposal from StormceptorŽ are similar to that of any other Best Management Practice (BMP). Consult local guidelines or your StormceptorŽ area marketing manager prior to disposing the separator contents.
